2 Nobember, 2018 Class

And just when I had thought that we were done with the population pyramids, we saw a Ted talk about … population pyramids. I really am not liking this were we in conversations instead of taking notes during class. I prefer taking notes way over talking. During the note taking, we actually have things to write in our blogs, unlike while having conversations, were we have to write what we took out of the conversation.
At the beginning, Mr. Schick had talked about a ted talk where, as he remembered, a white, female model in a skin-tight dress walked in the stage and talked about how black people suffer in society because of racial discrimination, how she changed her outfit in the middle of her talk, and how she got away with her own because a police officer thought she was pretty.
Whereas she did change her outfit, but in the beginning of her talk, right after stating her name and how inappropriate it was to arrive like that. And she did talk about racial conflicts among black males, but she also talked about latino males' struggle. How she could bat her eyes and talk herself out of getting a fine because she is beautiful but that black and latino males can't because of their race.
